I have a shower floor done in mosaics that is puddling in one corner,I know this is because this area needs raising to slope to the waste.
What I wondered was is there any way of doing this other than pulling up the tiles and rebedding them.
I wondered if there was anything like a clear glaze or resin that could be put over the tiles in that area to raise the level.Needs to raise by about 4mm
Thanks.

Well I ended up ripping the tiles back up and redoing the corner from scratch :( ,to be honest it was worth it because it not only looked a whole lot better but I also felt better knowing I had sorted it properly. ;)
Not much fun chipping up mosaics though

Sounds like you did the right thing, lance. I know what you mean about mosaics. They do look wonderful but as you say, they are fiddly. I've always been put off by the idea of all that grout to clean (when it eventually gets grubby, I mean.)

Never a truer word spoken. One of the guys on here did a write up on how he did his bathroom ( //wiki.diynot.com/projects:wet_room ) - he used mosaics for his shower floor. I didn't have the heart to tell him they'd be a bug*er to clean after the time and money he spent on it.

Wow. that is one fancy bathroom, gcol. But - mosaic murder, as you say. Hey, that sounds like the title of a good novel. :D
