Hi all,
The pipework for my handheld shower ends with a 1/2" BSP female connection burried in the wall behind the tiles. The shower fitting then should get screwed into the female connection. But the female part is too far back - what can I do to "extend" it?
Now that I've drilled the hole in the tile to expose the female connection, I've discovered that it's recessed by about 22mm from the face of the tile to the entrance of the female connection. But the male end of the shower fitting only protrudes about 12mm from the collar that sits on the face of the tile.
So there's 10mm of clear air between the end of the male, and start of the female. So I need to bring the female connection forward by about 20mm (to allow for the connections to thread together). I can't take the tiles off because it's a continous marble pattern made of large form slabs.
Any ideas? Is there some sort of coupler I could use - male to female?
Is this what I need?
Thanks
