Can I remove the existing bath and use the existing hot and cold water pipes, to supply a power shower unit?

If the pipes are in good order YES, if they are old lead, then better to replace them
The shower may only want 15mm pipe, bath may have been in 22mm, you can get reducers.

What sort of power shower unit do you plan to install? Do you have a combi boiler? What sort of water storage system do you have if any?
