Shower mixer not getting hot

I did some plumbing work recently (new en suite bathroom) but the old mixer shower doesn't get hot anymore. My guess is some crap in the pipes has got into the valve? The combi is delivering hot water as the pipes are hot and the sink next to it has hot water too.

Are there any tips or suggestions to get the shower working again please?
