14 months ago I fitted a shower with a thermostatic valve onto a combi boiler. All went well for 11 months then the shower started to go hot and cold for no reason that I could see, the problem gradually got worse until the shower became unuseable. Got the boiler serviced it made no difference, then cleaned the filter on the check valves again no difference. Fitted a pressure reducing valve on the cold feed and set it to 1.5 bar as suggested by Bathstore then got them to send a new thermostatic cartridge and fitted that.....still no difference. when the shower goes cold the call hot water light on the boiler goes out but doesn't on the bathroom tap which is off the same supply. Tried reversing the hot and cold supplies and reinstalling the thermostatic cartridge ....all to no avail.
