Hi i have been asked to change a shower from one wall to another the current shower is electric.. But they want a new thermostatic shower or electric one. Would it be easier to fit electric one and get electrician to install the electric part as it is moveing further away from consumer unit. Or can i tee into the hot and cold taps with it being thermostatic as this is the same :p wall as where the taps are.
Or do i have to come of cold water cistern and cylinder as this will be allot of messing as it is a downstairs toilet and cold water cistern is in attic

If cold water in downstairs toilet is mains fed then yes you will have to feed cold to mixer shower from cold tank in loft to get a balanced supply. Sounds easier to move electric from here ;)

or if you have mains cold and tank fed hot then you could install a venturi shower - uses the cold water pressure to boost the hot water supply
