Shower problem?

For some unknown reason my electric shower has twice switched itself on automatically, ie by itself, on both occasions not long after I have finished using it & made a bit of a mess of the bathroom carpet! Any suggestions what might be the cause of this - and a remedy? I am not a DIY person at all!!

Could be a faulty switch but I think you will be best advised to change the shower a.s.a.p.

but it has only happened twice ... isn't changing the shower rather drastic, it was pretty expensive! If it is a faulty switch, what should I do? Cheers!
