Shower Pump - some advice please

Hi all,

I was hoping for a little advice before I purchase a new shower pump. My last shower pump leaked and I need a new one.

Current set up
- indirect system, mixer shower in the upstairs bathroom
- 15mm from Cold Water Storage (attic) to Shower Pump (Hot Press upstairs) gate valve in situ...15mm from pump to shower
- 15 mm from Hot Water Cylinder to shower pump, no valve in situ,
- Warwick flange on hot water cylinder, 15 mm to shower pump from side, expansion pipe is vertical
- 1m from hot water cylinder tee to attic
- >600m from shower head to cold water storage
- prior to the pump breaking...no issues, everything was working well. Only supplied the

So, I'm anxious of course about leaks in the future and I want it to perform well.
- does a more expensive pump have less chance of breaking than a cheaper plastic one or are they all the same
- since I have 15mm everywhere, I thought the more sensible thing is a 15mm connection such as salamander CT 50/75 range which has an inlet turn off valve
- should I consider a more expensive pump with 22 mm connections ...if so, is it ok to attach 22m to 15mm reducing couplers (i.e. go from smaller to larger, into pipe, before the hose attachments to 22mm shower pump?
- OR could I buy 4 15mm push fits av connectors to the 22mm brass shower pump

Stuart Turner pumps are better. As it is only for a shower they have a specific 'shower mate' range which I have always preferred to the salamanders.
