Shower Screen

HI Everybody, this is my first time on here but I was hoping for some help.
We have just had a shower fitted and now we need to fit the screen, the problem is that the only wall the shower could go on and therefore the screen is a stud wall, (rather randomly built, with studs going diagonally).

Basically what I wanted to ask was who i should call to come and fit it?? Think we need a professional really as it isn't as simple as I first imagined!!

Presuming it is tiles on plasterboard (you didn't specify) it is just a case of drilling holes and using plasterboard plugs to secure to wall. If there is a stud where you are drilling forget the plug and just screw into that. The screen sits on the baths side therefore taking most of the weight compressing the seal to make watertight.

If you really don't fancy it a competent handyman should be able to manage it or stump up the cash for a chippy.

Thanks for your reply, we have already tried attaching it to wall, (sorry forget to mention that) and the wall is so rubbish that the plasterboard screws don't even work and we now have 3 good sized holes in the wall!!!!

Do you think it is a job that a handyman could do or should I pay the extra for a cfhippy??

If you have larger holes try using 'spring toggle bolts', these have a large umbrella type catch that folds up and pokes through the hole then springs open when through so you can do them up.

Sounds like you may be best getting a good chippy in though
