Recently had a thermostat shower fitted. At first everything running fine then all of a sudden the water stopped flowing. If i turn the shower on to hot the water flows ok for a little while as soon as i turn it to cold the water stops. Is it because i need a booster pump?

you say the hot is ok.

where does the cold pipe come from ?
from the tank in the loft straight down to the mixer ?
across the loft and down to the mixer ?

the hot seems to stay on then if turn the thermostat to cold the water stops.
The cold comes from the tank in the loft.

is their any bleed valves along the pipework ?
is their any where along the pipe you can slacken a joint to release any air.

if the pipe gos vertical straight down to the mixer then i wouldn't say it air.
not knowing the layout hard to say.

could be a blockage from something in the tank.

or put shower on cold and try putting a hose down the feed from the tank that will shift any airlock.

don't think their is any bleed valves.

the pipe is vertical to mixer.
I will try the hose trick, hopefully it will work.

Something i never mentioned...
My sink is not yet fully plummed in. At the moment it has been isolated
could this cause an air lock?
Basically i had someone come and not finish the job!
