Hi,
I'm about to embark on a refurb of my en-suite bathroom. Still do not have a clear plan, but I would really welcome some advice.
Shower will be 1100 x 760, enclosed on 3 sides, with a sliding glass door. I like the idea of using the wall panels, but some concerns about me not being able to do it right. Not fond of tiling, but had good results with previous shower projects! Planning to sink a niche into one of the end walls, which will both be plasterboard/tile backer stud walls.
1) Any advice on good quality shower panel systems (Multipanel and Mermaid Panel seem to be popular) and any tips on how a fairly
cautious
competent DIY'er can expect good results?
2) Is it worth buying a preformed shower niche and would tiles or panels work best with these? I will tile/grout the recessed part of the shelf
3) Finally, I have thought about panels for 2 walls and tiles for the wall with the niche. I can't seem to find any advice on how to deal with the corner join where the tiles meet the panel. would this just be to tile up to the panel, with an expansion gap and silicone?
Any and all help is really appreciated.
