When i switch my shower on its triggering my house alarm :( 6am
yesterday and today i'm running about trying to switch it off.
The alarms 10 years old and i just wanna switch it off all together, i
read if you take the black wire off the internal battery then remove
the fuse this would do it but also read i would need to go to the
outside box and remove the fuse there.
My neighbours will be upset if this keeps happening and i ain had a
shower in 2 days, when i came home from work yesterday i
forgot all about it till today.
I'm in work right now but need to get home to get this fixed.

thanks

Mark

I have known this happen due to excessive amounts of steam on a detector

Do you use an extractor fan in your bathroom? If not I strongly recommend it. It will also cut down condensation, mould, wood rot, spoiled decoration etc.

If it is not steam then you need to post the make and model of your alarm, and where you think the trigger is coming from. For example if it is an electric shower it might be due to a power surge.

Pictures will help.
