Hi,
I'm installing a quadrent shower cubicle. the tray is an easy plumb tray about 150mm high and the waste pipe comes out the back of the tray just above floor height.
I need to go through a stud wall under the bath and connect to the old 40mm waste pipe behind the bath.
the old pipe work sits about 35 to 40mm above floor level.
I'm I right in think that I must lwer this to the same level as the shower outlet pipe otherwise I will have flow problems?
I have uploaded some photod. The white waste pipe drops vertical about six inches then turns into the soil pipe.
I can not get to the waste pipe easily to lower to sit on the floor the bottom of the elbow sits about 15mm lower then the floor boards.
Any body got any ideas how I can cut it off lower?
There are two joists running closeone to the left of the elbow and one laying parrellel to the pipe, also there is a copper pipe that bends around the pipe.
I have no access from the cieling underneath.
Any other ideas how to connect or cut would be welcome.
