i have had the same problem and before any tiles were put up, i decided to upgrade to 10mm cable as opposed to the 6mm which was there before. this means that i never need to take my tiles down as 10mm will cover any larger cap shower. also upgrade your swith to 50A.

6mm cable can heat up within the floor boards via your insulation and so may hav e problems there.

An electritian wouldnt agree to 6mm cable for 9.5Kw shower and therefore would not give you the certification.

what is the total length? you may be able to get away with it

and is it 9.5KW at 230V or 240V?

FHS.

6mm² is borderline for a 9.5kW load, whether that rating is for 230V or 240V. There is no good reason for using it. Look at what Mike wrote:

i.e. the burying is a future event, i.e. right now the cable can be replaced, and that is the only advice that should be given.

The rating is 9.5 Kw at 230v
the total run will be about 3.5m
the CU is directly below the bathroom at flloor level
the cable is in the wall to the bathroom floor
could i install a junction box under the floor and run the rest in 10mm
do i need a 45a or 50a MCB
