Hi, i just read the below text in the "fitting a shower" section on the site

Before fitting the pipes that will eventually supply the water to the shower system, it is important to cut off the water supply. In order to protect the pipes, they should be given a waterproof covering and also isolating valves should be fitted. The pipes can then be recessed into the wall and plastered over to neaten the overall look.

I am about to refit my bathroom and thought you could not bury the hot/cold pipes (that connect to the shower control unit) in the wall.
1) Please tell me if i thought wrong
2) Please can you suggest a waterproof covering that the above refers to

I have a combi system so will be mains fed...
thanks folks

Celafelt (not sure how to spell it)
Burying pipes on walls is common on all these new fancy bathrooms, but do have isolation valves somewhere you can get to them at a later date

thanks, so if i wrap the copper pipes in Celafelt, they can go directly in the wall and filled with plaster ? No need to box them in ?
