Problem un-screwing Siemens Extraklasse 1200 pump cap.
Any recommendations for removing the cap?
History:
Machine spewed its guts all over the kitchen floor, so thought it time to give basic maintenance (empty drain over-flow), clear Pump cap. Managed to drain the system but can't get the pump cap off for toffee.
The cap screws 1/6 clockwise, and 1/6 anti-clockwise but no further, it's completely stuck (i've used ample force). There's also a strange grinding noise coming from the pump cap region during the drain section of a cycle - of which there are 3-4 on a complete wash cycle ... which may mean there's something jammed in the pump region!>?
