Siemens washer/dryer carbon brushes

Hi
have a Siemens washer/dryer model no. WD61392 GB/13
Tried to source carbon brushes, the only way I can get these is to buy a motor end piece with
brushes in situ approx.£85.00.
I am very hands-on and enjoy a challenge wondered if there were alternative brushes I could buy and adapt to fit existing end plate , any ideas welcome !
