Have just applied sika mb to a screeded subfloor in a Hallway of 11m2, it was initially primed with Fball Stopgap p131 after the old pine parquet blocks were taken up, floor scraped and thoroughly vacuumed.
After the p131 was applied and allowed to properly dry, we then self leveled the floor with a quality latex based compound, as the subfloor was uneven it took 7 bags in all over 2 visits, and after the first batch of leveler had dried a second p131 was applied before the second batch of leveling compound.

The day after the second batch of leveler (3 bags) was applied, i re-visited site to apply the sika mb, i have applied this several times before on other jobs and always apply this product liberally, it was a 10kg tin....properly mixed (for 5 full minutes) then the area cut in with a 4" paint brush (generously) then the main area was done with a medium pile roller (10mm fibre length) i felt i could not of applied the product any more liberally than i did and only used around 2 litres of product, there was around 4 litres left when i had finished.

My laboured point is my superior had a rant saying i should of used every last drop and it wasn't on thickly enough but he wasn't there and i KNOW it was applied correctly.

I cant seem to find data from sika giving coverage rates for the product hence my diatribe.....

Thanks in anticipation of an informed reply.
