Sikkens satin finish

Hi all,I've got some exterior windows to repaint they were previously glossed,the customer wants a satin finish so I was gona use Sikkens rubbol satura plus,has anyone used this before and if so is it any good,also will the rubbol primer plus primer u/c be ok to use on the existing finish once it is prepared ,many thanks

I looked into this a while ago and there is a bit of confusion. The sikkens UK data sheet says its for internal use only, but another data sheet which i think is the european one says its ok for exterior use. The only way to know for sure is to give them a ring. Bedec exterior gear is good and i'm sure they do a satin.
The sikkens u/c is very good, nice to use and covers and dries well. Follow it with two top coats. Be careful with drying times of your top coat, i've used a lot of sikkens XD and it needs a minimum of 24hrs between coats to avoid shrivelling, also the satura can be a pain for runs, you check it and its fine then go back ten minutes later and there's a drip or two, apply sparingly!

Hi,I phoned Sikkens and spoke to an advisor who told me rubbol satura plus is deffo meant for exterior use and satura bl is only for interior use
