I am painting a room with no outdoor window so no natural light comes in. I am redecorating the feature wall duck egg and am unsure on whether I should use silk or matt emulsion. The other three walls are ivory matt emulsion and this is my first time decorating so any tips will be useful. Thanks for any advice.

I always advise using a good trade Matt emulsion, far less problems to be had. Doesn't show up imperfections as much as silk does.
If there is silk on the wall at the moment and you decide to put Matt on then you will need to sand the wall first.
