A certain posting reminded me of an event I set up years ago.
We used to work a night shift and sometimes it could get pretty quiet. On my travels I had found an undertakers where they kept some old scrappy coffins in the wood yard. Not far from that was a large common/park area on which there was a pond.
One night, when it was really foggy, we took one of the old coffins, tied a long rope to it and set it afloat on the pond, near to what everyone knew as the "far side", but took the other end of the rope, around the shore to the other side. We then called one of our colleagues to that location knowing that he would approach from near where we were hiding, due to the car park position. As he approached the pond on foot, I will never forget the enchanting scene and language when he saw this coffin float out of the fog towards him, great.
(we did put the coffin back)
