I have a Sime Friendly Format 80E combi boiler, which has decided not to work. The pilot light has gone out. When I try to reset, the fan comes on, but it won't light again.
I found a plumber who has had a good look at it, and he thinks the Control Unit is the problem. Trouble is, it's apparently a hybrid version - his supplier doesn't have any in, and says the only choices are to A) contact Sime direct - but they're closed til Tuesday due to the bank holiday or B) find someone who is a specialist that might have such a part.
Meanwhile, I have no heat, no hot water, and it being a bank holiday it's freezing!
Does anyone know who might be able to help in the Manchester/Cheshire area?
