Hello and thanks to anyone bothering to read my post.I had to change a fan on sime 60,ooo boiler. I waited 3 days for fan,wrong part. I would like to know if i can take the motor off a old fan i have and swap it,the old fan isnt a sime though,will it matter as the people are desperate.thanks

Officially the answer is NO. Anything other than a genuine manufacturers part is classed as an 'ad hoc' installation and therefore not allowed.
Meanwhile back on planet earth it is a fact that some parts are the same no matter what the badge says on the front of the boiler. If it physically fits without any modification who will be any the wiser as long as it works?
If you do have to modify it then you could be taking a chance.
Something to watch for is that the fan may not be of the same power as the one you took out.
