I have a Sime Halstead Trio combi boiler.
There is no room thermostat, just the control's on the front panel.
There is an intermittent fault causing the heating to stay on, getting the rads too hot. Not the timer, I mean the thermostat doesn't appear to be working correctly. Before I dive in, what is the likely culprit.? A sticking relay or the actual thermostat control knob at the front of the panel?
Any help and advice will be gratefully recieved.
PS It had a new diverter diaphragm, heat exchanger, and a few bits and pieces 8 months ago so I don't want to exchange the boiler.
