Hi, I have a SIME 90 Super combi boiler that has the following problem.
It seems to work correctly most times heating the radiator system and water. On some occasions it takes a long time to heat up water (about 10 minutes). I have checked the combi boiler when this happens you can see the pilot flame and hear a clicking from the control panel area. Every time you hear the click the pilot light dims slightly. It seems to loop on this cycle for a while and eventually it starts to work normally again.
I have had trouble finding engineers to service this boiler in our area and while my current engineer is very good and helpful he is unsure of the fault and has asked me to call Sime Tech support.
My engineer things it may be a probe or pcb issue at an educated guess but does not want to replace parts on a guess.
1. does anyone have the contact details for Sime
2. Does anyone have any expierence with this fault.
I have noticed on a previous thread that somebody thought it might be an air switch problem?
I do not intend to carry out any work on this boiler (far too scared!) apart from visual checks so any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated (my wife and new baby daughter come out of hospital in 4 days time and its getting a bit chilly!)
Thanks for any help in advance
Keith
