single brick garage

could anyone tell me the depth and width of concrete footing required for a single brick garage with pitched roof attatched to house ,

also garage is approx 6m long are pillars required if so how many ?

Building control would be your best point of call as no one will really advise without seeing your ground conditions e.t.c do you know how deep your house foundations are ? At a rough guess i would say you need to be 450mm wide 1000mm deep, and yes a pillar in the middle should be enough.
