Morning all, I'm building a dwarf wall for a 3rd party wooden greenhouse, so it has to be single skin (as that's what they spec).
The foundations are having to be way lower than I'd like, as I'm making up a lot of ground as part of a patio. As such, the wall is going to be ~300mm underground (I'm thinking block + 1 course of bricks) and then 450mm above ground to make the dwarf wall. No piers, or returns as per the drawings I've been sent.
I'm pretty happy with this, but somebody passed a comment and I'm looking for your thoughts?
(I guess I have 2 other options. build formwork and bring the foundation up, or lay blocks flat underground and then build off that. Both of which sound like hard work for no real gain to me)
