Sink blockage, cleaned downed to the outer wall.

Hi,

My parents kitchen sink is blocked, my Mum has cleaned all the plastic pipes down to where it exits through the outer wall.

There is an outer iron cast pipe, but i cant figure out how to open it.
Picture below.

On the left is the waste pipe from toilet and on the right is the waste from the kitchen sink.

So how do i access them, the larger pipe has nuts i could loosen but the smaller pipe has nothing it looks like just a cap pushed on top of it????

Looks to me like it was supposed to have nuts and they have been snapped of, the plate has probably been glued into place if this is the case, have you tried prising it open gently with a wide flat bladed pallet knife or similar, you need to take care not to crack it as cast is brittle.

cheers for the advice, managed to scrape away the crap an just popped it off.

All cleaned now.
