I am going to swap over my sink to a new stainless steel one. Forgetting slightly different trap dimensions, are there any points I need to be aware of or will it be as painless as I imagine?

Get one which has NOT been pressed out of a single sheet, but the bowl(s) are welded in separately. Not visible from the top except as a sharper corner, but there's a small flange underneath. Expect to pay around £100, not around £35. Cheap ones are horridly floppy!

Yes, the shape and size of the cut-outs varies enormously.

Following on from above comment regarding sizes.

Frankie do a slightly bigger than normal sized sink, which after small modification to the cut out will fit MOST exsisting installations.

It costs around £110 but is high quality.

I would be inclinded to try smaller shops, I'd be surprised if you get anything from the sheds.

£100 for a sink??!! I think I can find something a bit more interesting to spend my hard earned on! Besides I would never get the benefit as I will have 'er in doors' securely chained to it! Ha Ha Ha!
