Hi reading a lot of posts about this and how the outlet pipe needs to be around 16” or so inches from the ground outside. My question is that I have to cut the outlet hole but want to avoid that unsightly pipe on the outside and want to have most of vertical pipe within the sink unit and when the pipe goes out vertically, it is just above the drain outside.

Will this still work as the flow will be as good as the standard configuration as the gravity pull won’t be too much different ?

Yes, as long as when it goes through the wall it has a little fall towards the outside.
