Hi all
Currently in the planning stages of a new bathroom and have a question re the bath.
So I’ve measured the space we have for the bath and it’s 1620, this is with the current tiles on the wall. The bath we are looking at is 1675mm - we’ve been advised by the time the tiles / adhesives are off and sinking the bath into the wall slightly this will fit. (Both sides are stud walls)
My question is what’s the best way of doing this - we are planning to get the whole existing suite out, along with the old plasterboard as it’s tiled wall to wall the plasterboard will likley be destroyed anyway.
Once out we are going to get somone in to come and reboard the walls with waterproof plasterboard.
Are we best to get the bath into place before The walls are boarded - or are we better getting the bath in once they are boarded, my worry is with the such limited room it’s going to be pretty difficult with the angles to get the bath in place without cutting out a lot more plasterboard than necessarly needed?
Thanks!
