Sistering floor joists

Hello,

What size timber would be okay to sister floor joists? The current ones are 175mm. 4x2?

Need to raise to the floor slightly and sub base in bathroom is 20mm out..

Add a layer of plywood.

If you are going to fix knock-on pieces to the joists - simply to increase their height, then 4" x 2" should be stable enough.
