I'm building a shed/summer house, the deck of which will be 5.15 X 2.5m. I have some extra thick (60mm) scaffold planks for the floor. I was wondering what thickness of joists to use, given how sturdy the floor boards will be. Do I need to go any bigger than 3x2?

Is this sitting on a concrete/paving base or a raised platform? If on concrete 3x2 would be fine. You wont get timber in those sizes longer than 4.8 lengths anyway so you'll need to join them for your long side. 60mm scaff boards will only need probably 3 joists per 2.4m length to prevent sag but for the extra 20/30 quid it might be best to fture proof the floor and fit joists at a normal 450/600mm centres in case you wanted to change it at some point?
