Hi all,
I was wondering, if you are planning to skim a coat of plaster onto plasterboard, do you really need to tape the butt joints?
I am currently in the process of putting up plasterboards on the ceiling and walls in an old Victorian house, the boards are not tapered due to the uneven spacing between joists and studs..
I am planning to get a plasterer to skim the room but I didn't know whether it was worth me taping the joints, and applying jointing compound on butt joints and fasteners
Regards
