Hi guys
DIYer here, so be gentle.

Im currently stud walling a room, and I have a quandry regards where the plasterboard meets the door frame.

Im going to be plastering the room myself, having done a bit in the past. I'll be using Dalapro roll-on plaster.

Ive installed plasterboard around a door frame, but ive just realised i have probably made a mistake in not fitting a stop bead between the plasterboard and the doorframe.

This is a fresh build, so it literally is just a door frame currently, without architrave.

As the architrave will sit over the door frame, and over the plasterboard, can I get away without installing end beading? If I have to install it, Ill have to unscrew the pasterboard sheets from the wall, and re-fit....not a huge hassle, but Id prefer to avoid it if possible.

Thanks guys.

Not sure what your saying? If I understand then you need to fit a new door frame level with the new plasterboard.
Then skim
Then fit architrave.

Maybe put a picture here

Ill drop a photo once I get home.

I've fit a door frame.... and Ive fit plasterboard which butts up to the door frame and is level. However, I didnt put an end bead between the plasetrboard and the wood of the doorframe....is that ok?

you dont need a stop bead against a door liner if you are going to cover with architraves

usually the door liner would be fitted so its proud of the bare plasterboard by 3mm and once skimmed the wall will be flush with the liner and the architrave goes on top

Ahh that's great I think I should be ok then. The pic shows how I've done it you can't quite tell that the door frame has a bit of a lip to account for the thickness of the plaster when it goes on the wall
