Hi guys.

Can anyone with experience of putting skirting boards up offer any advice on to the best adhesive you use?

I have put a length of skirting board up with no nails, and it isn’t sticking at all, even with pressure applied for 5/10 minutes.

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

I've had success with no more nails (the brand) but left it held in place for a good 24 hours.
I plug and screw these days, I see glue as a bodge. Albeit a timesaving one.

D4 adhesive , fixing foam , or Fixall , anything you use will need to be held in place at least 20 mins.

Thanks a lot, I’ve put some batons in place for this no nails, will see what it comes out like after a day! If not, I’ll try these ideas.

Many thanks

Make sure it's dust free. I prefer to use a more expensive grab adhesive. Had mixed results with the cheaper ones. Or use foam like instastik

Thanks all, the no nails did eventually work after pressure over night
