Skirting board problems

Hi all,

i've been fitting skirting boards recently. My method for fixing is to apply evo stick adhesive designed for fixing skirts etc. and also use screws and plugs.

I recently purchased unibond no more nails as this was on offer. i've noticed that this adheasive is pushing the skirting away from the walls at the top.

Has anyone experienced this?

Any help appreciated.

Can't help thinking glue and screws is a bit of overkill, there's really no need to use both. Save yourself the expense and ditch the glue.
If you stick (no pun intended) with the glue you may simply be putting it on too thick.
