had skirting board removed and replaced with solid oak very expensive builder put on back to front is there a way it can be routed with groove while in place ?I'm new to this site just wanted some advice thanks
my thoughts iff they used no nails it may stain the surface badly
have you got a couple off offcuts and the adhesive used ??if so blob on the front off one and the back off the other incase treated different
v groove could be done but starting and finnishing perhaps 45mm short
unless the router fence is shallower than the board is thick it will be a tripple nightmare other than just a double nightmare as it is
the grooves are likly to be a bit furry and discoloured as you are removing any finnish and iff the wood has been about for a bit off time the new wood colour will further add to the tone difference
