So I don't have to do the above ! Not that it really matters, I'd imagine handling a 20ft bit of skirting is probably a bit awkward anyway. The longest I've seen yet is 5.2m from TP
As you cannot get over 6m skirting board you will have to join it at 45 degree angle or less, if you cut the longest length away from the light of the window it won't became noticeable if the cut is not perfect. If you cut the other way you may see a slight shadow where the cut is. Normally best to cut the join behind radiator pipe etc........
You maybe able to get a special order from timber merchant over 6m in length.
