Hello all,

Fitted my own alarm system approx 23 years ago, it has worked without issue until last week after a power cut. The back up battery was replaced about 3 years ago for the 4th time. After the power cut the alarm was somewhat sporadic when setting before exiting my house.
The PCB has been damaged as seen on the attached images. I have tried to find a replacement without any luck. Ebay does have a couple but they are used and untested so I do not think they are worth using.
I did try bridging out the tamper and PA circuits, that made no difference. The reed switch on the exit door tests ok, there are 4 PIR`s I did bridge out in turn and they seem to be ok. I assume the burnt PCB is the fault so wonder if anyone is aware of anywhere that has SL Compact PCB`s

Thank you,

Kevin.

Burnt out because a faulty battery was left connected , any optima / accenta pcb should work , they don’t make them anymore …eBay may be your only option if you still want to stick to that panel

Thanks for the reply sparkymarka, had a feeling the battery was the issue... If a good PCB had been available I would have changed it myself. I`ve been retired 20 years so will have to get an engineer in to fit a new system...
