Morning all I am converting an old ground floor bedroom/play room to a hallway as part of my extension.
I appear to have 50 ish mm of screed over 200mm concrete slab but there is no insulation.
I need to raise the current floor by about 50 mm
I have spoke to my BCO who has said as it was already lived in I could get away with some thin insulation as anything I do would improve its thermal value.
I could smash it all out and start again but I don’t really want to remove 50mm of screed and 200 mm of concrete.
I am thinking I could either lay some 25 mm insulation with retro fit UFH heating or I remove the screed and do the same but with thicker insulation ?
Any advice gratefully received.
