Hi all,
I'm planning to build a small garden room (3x3m) in an area which is currently partly existing crazy paving (very solid) and part earth. The earth overhang would only be about a foot past the crazy paving.
I want to put down a concrete slab to raise it up a bit and level it all out.
The concrete would be about 100mm thick over the crazy paving and I'm planning on digging down about 18" into the earth, putting compacted type 1 down and concreting it all in one go.
My question - is this a dumb idea? Will the concrete crack over the edge of the paving? Would reinforcing the concrete be sensible/necessary?
Thanks!
