Just wondering what kind of job it is to slab my back garden. its covered with chips at the moment, and I dont know whats under that.

Any ideas?

Hehe, sorry must have been bit misleading. I wasnt asking what could be under the chips, more about what is involved in actually laying the slabs

we know that..

but until you ( and we ) know what's under the chips then it's hard to advise..

you might have a concrete base, or dirt, or geotec fabric ( which saves you laying any.. ) or anything..

Well Im guessing its just soil, as all my neighbours have grass. The chips were there when I bought the house

might be a few dead bodies, undgerground tank, nuclear fall out shelter, carpark,.....


have a look then advice can be given, don't guess
