Slamming door

Good evening everyone

I have a family member who prefers to drag the door handle and slam the door shut rather than turning the door handle and then closing it gracefully.

Any ideas on how to muffle/dampen the noise ?

Tell him that the coronavirus is attracted by loud noises, especially slamming doors...

This is what I did.
Put a strip of weather strip on the edge where the door meets the door frame and then removed the strike plate lol

I have the t-shirt for this. Several of them, for many years.

Anyway the non-violent answer is in the Union Wellington Waterloo latch. This allows the door to be pulled shut without needing to turn the lever. Designed for the old 'uns but great for kids too.

I've fitted them after JD on here helped me identify them, and they are the best latches you can get.
