Hi,

We're looking to lay a slate floor throughout our entire bottom floor, give or take a couple of rooms so as this is a large area we want to get this laid professionally by someone who has dealt with slate quite a few times in the past. Anyway, we live near Reading (berks) would anyone be interested?

I have included a rough plan to show the area we are needing done.

Any advice would be appreciated, we were going to get the flooring from Mandarin Stone – good or bad?

Tks

MOST tilers are happy to use slate, there are a few who dont like to, (know idea why, i personally love the stuff, looks gorgeous when done correctly)

your local tile stores can recommend someone who is good with the stuff tho, if your unsure tho make sure you see previous work or even talk to a previous client.

and if anyone comes round to quote make sure you hear the magical words "sealing" if its not even mentioned ask them to run away fast, unsealed slate is horrible and ruins your room

Hey thanks,

Might need a bathroom fitter at some stage. I have a main heating guy putting in most of the pipework but the rest will need doing if I run out of time.

Will ping you an email if I need help.
