Slate Tile roof vents

How easy is it to retro fit slate tile vents into a roof. Does the vent need to be flashed afterwards? And what would be the process for putting one in.

use a tile vent terminal for slate type tiles.

easy off a scaffold, a bit trickier off a ladder.

they come complete with instructions, though retro-fitting to a traditional slate roof will be a nightmare.
