Hello all,
So I have embarked on what can only be described as a naively ambitious project in my damp ridden cornish cottage. The end however is in sight but before that I need to screed the floor.
My question is, I plan to put in 70mm screed and then finish off with a SLC. I have read the sticky on using SLC and just wanted to clarify a couple of points before I go ahead and do the work.
I assume screed is classed as a porous surface and therefore will require priming? If so does any standard concrete primer work or does it have to be a specific one.
Secondly how long after screeding should I leave the floor before using SLC, as there will obviously be a fair amount of moisture evaporating for weeks after the screed has set and I dont want to upset the SLC.
thank you all for any advice, this has been a long and traumatic experience thus far and am keen to avoid any suprises at this late stage!
