SLC over tile adhesive ?

Hi

I need to prep a floor for LVT and the floor currently has old tile adhesive on it. I understand I can put SLC over the adhesive but do I need to put a primer or anything down?

Thinking of using F.Ball Pro1200 latex smoothing compound based on what a flooring person told me.

Is it just a case of mixing it up and chucking it on the floor and it finds it own level?

I read the spec for pro 1200 and it doesn't need a primer apparently.

Always best to prime mate. Holds reduce pinholes and helps the compound flow better.
You want a 4-1 mix with P131 over the sub floor
