Death is far more prevalent in society than we'd like to think... one spider killing 4 people is scaremongering...

Arthritis killed 783 people - that's 2 a day !
Skin cancer killed 2325 people - thats 44 people each week !!
Fall on stairs or steps 655 - 12 people each week!!!

Jock... my point was that in context, scary flesh eating spiders is so far down the list of risks to humans, that the particular rag was irrelavent !!

There's always some impending disaster - global warming, global cooling, meteorites, flu pandemics, Dutch Elm, etc, etc. Spent most of my early years fearing that we could all be vapourised by the Ruskies. I was all set for a bit of Protect and Survive. Total waste of itme - we're all still here.
