Sleepers

Hi, I'm renovating my garden and I'm looking to replace the decking at the top with flags. I'm thinking of sleepers to surround. The floor is on a slope. Can I put the sleepers directly onto it, or do I need to dig under the ground?

Not sure what you are asking but if you are raising the level of the base make sure you do not go above any damp course.

Benny.... are sleepers those heavy timber beams you can use to encase a garden?
